Data controller

Nicolas Wicky, instrument maker, whose contact details appear in the legal notice.

What data is collected

This site collects no data without your knowledge, and uses neither advertising trackers nor third-party measurement services. It counts the pages opened on it by itself: each visit records four pieces of information, the date, the page, the site you came from if there is one, and the family of your device. Your IP address, your browser and any identifier are never recorded, and no cookie is set.

The only data collected is what you enter voluntarily in the contact form:

  • your name
  • your email address
  • your country
  • the content of your message

Why it is collected

This data serves only to reply to you. It is neither resold, nor transferred, nor used for marketing purposes.

The legal basis for the processing is the controller's legitimate interest in answering the requests addressed to him, and the performance of pre-contractual measures when your message concerns an instrument commission.

Who receives it

Your message is transmitted by the Web3Forms service, acting as a processor. Its documentation states that it retains submissions for thirty days, together with the sender's IP address and browser, before deleting them.

The servers of this service are located in the United States. Your data therefore travels outside the European Union, under the provider's contractual commitments.

Once received, the message is kept in the controller's mailbox.

The photographs on this site are served by Sanity, which also hosts its content. Loading an image sends your IP address to that service, for the time it takes to deliver the file. It sets no cookie and does not follow you from page to page.

How long it is kept

Messages received are kept for as long as is needed to handle your request, then for a maximum of three years from the last exchange, the period recommended by the Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés, the French data protection authority, for managing contacts.

Data relating to a commission actually placed is kept for the statutory periods applicable to accounting and contractual records.

Your rights

You hold rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability over the data concerning you.

To exercise them, write to nicolas@atelierwicky.com.

If, after contacting the controller, you consider that your rights are not respected, you may lodge a complaint with the Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés, 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, or at www.cnil.fr.

Cookies

This site sets no audience measurement or advertising cookie.

If you choose the light or dark display using the header button, that setting is kept in your browser, on your device. It is never transmitted, and it does not exist until you choose it.

Links to third-party services, in particular Instagram, lead to sites that apply their own policies, over which the controller has no hold.

Changes

This policy may be updated.
